In 2022 the annual Dickens Festival will change dates and is due to take place as part of the Queens Jubilee celebrations over the Bank Holiday weekend on June 4 and 5. The details of the festival are still currently in the planning, but could include a river parade, a big-screen broadcast of the national celebrations in London and beacon lighting.

Medway is a huge supporter of local events and activities to bring the community together and showcase the history of the area.

Other attractions over the year include a programme of well-known and much loved events including the Rochester Castle Concerts, Rapture Gaming & Creative Festival, Salute to the ’40s and the Festival of Transport & Steam. To find out more about these and when they are planned for 2022 check out Visit Medway.
